Keeping your business safe online
Cyber Awareness Workshops and mentoring available: This Thursday 14th Nov, and it’s free! (see below to register and please note there are 2 workshops sessions available AM & PM)
It seems like every day we read another horror story in the news of some small business losing a huge sum of money to some scam or bad guy attacking their computers or phones.
Big businesses employ large teams of computer experts to keep them safe and even they are not immune. So how do we as small business owners stand a chance?
Luckily, there is a handful of basic things that we can do as business owners to protect our businesses and clients from all of the high-risk attacks that are out there, and you don’t need to be a computer nerd to implement these in your business today.
Brett uses his 30 years in government and private sectors to deliver easy-to-understand, actionable solutions to cyber security. Brett is a trusted advisor for businesses of all sizes and brings a fresh and honest perspective to the challenges of our increasingly connected digital landscape.
With a unique talent for translating geek into everyday business speak, Brett specialises in ensuring users can get on with work while keeping their business profitable and secure.
In this session you will learn:
The 5 basic steps to secure your business right now
How to keep track of passwords across all of your business accounts
What signs to look out for to reduce your chance of attack
What to do if you do get attacked
How to secure your computers and phones as your business grows.
